We are huge fans of "The Thick of It" up here at Huffer Towers, and now we're delighted to see that Armando Ianucci has directed a feature film in which the ever-scabrous Malcolm Tucker heads to Washington to lock horns with US military brass, ably played by Tony Soprano James Gandolfini.
Now that Oscar season is finished, there are a few actually quite interesting films on their way to a cinema near you.
First up, here's the trailer for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming WWII-behind-enemy-lines flick "Inglourious Basterds":
But before then we've got "Watchmen" to get excited about. Here's some of the trailers and various bits of lead-up stuff, presented in a nifty New Frontiersmen telly (play with the buttons for more content):
And I'm rather excited by "Coraline" as well, from the mind of Neil Gaiman (creator of Sandman and writer of American Gods -go read it, its amazing. Neil is also rather good at Tweeting):
As part of the promotion for the upcoming Simpson's movie, the website allows you to create your own Springfield avatar.
Genius (although I'm not completely happy with mine -couldn't get the hair right, so went for my famous-on-facebook hat, and there was no option for a full beard...oh well. Beeker's is much better -I just can't compete).
While we're on the subject, I just thought I'd share my favourite ever Homer J. quote:
"If the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, its that girls should stick to girls sports, such as hot oil wrestling, foxy boxing and such and such..."
